I definitely need to use more technology in my classroom. The only problem is that I only have two computers in my classroom, and we don't have a lab that I can use. Tracy
Yes. I have been thinking about incorporating more technology, and I think wikis are a great tool. I think it will allow my kids, not only to incorporate applicable technology, but also to engage in great group collabaration! Jaymee
Yes. Wikis will feel more like fun instead of work for the students. I like the idea of using wikis on school websites instead of teacher homepages...this is way more interactive. Kristi
Yes. I think that using Wikis will be a fun way for my students to write stories. It will help them understand the writing process in a fun way. It will also give them fun stories to read written by their classmates that they can enhance giving all my students ownership of their learning. Vickie
I was not very familiar with wikies, or their purpose, but as I'm learning more about them and how to use them in the classroom; I'm definitely thinking about incorporating them into the curriculum. I like the idea of posting weekly or montly question and have my students and other people provide different answers.- Luz

I think this would be a good way for students to ask questions, and to get answers (not just from the teacher). It seems that the kids can relate their ideas and what they are trying to say better than we as teachers can at times. And it gives us a chance to monitor and make sure that the information being transmitted is correct. SJ
This is totally new to me. I think Wiki will help my class with "journalling." One format I will try is having students do "3-2-1:"
Tell me 3 things you learned, 2 things that surprised you, and 1 question you have. KT
I didn't really know what a Wiki was. I thought maybe it was like a podcast... Shows you what I know about newer technology.
I will definitely use this as a librarian to help the students share their thoughts about books! Sherry
I will introduce it and try it in my classroom. I teach first grade and it will be until the second semester when the students will be ready to use it. Delia
I teach 1st grade so I would use Wiki as a Pen Pal exercise and maybe communicate with another 1st grade classroom in a different district. Marina
I am very excited about implementing wiki into my classroom. I think it will be a wonderful way to keep communication lines open between myself, my students, and their parent/guardian. - shawna
